Mealtimes are a chance to nourish bodies and make connections. Dragon Dining, our trusted on-campus food provider, offers a welcoming YIS cafeteria experience led by a dedicated international team. With a focus on nutritious, fresh, and culturally diverse meals, Dragon Dining plays a vital role in supporting student wellbeing and learning.

A DIVERSE MENU

Each week features a rotating menu of freshly prepared dishes from around the world. Meals are designed to be well-balanced and age-appropriate for students in every division.

FRESH INGREDIENTS

Dragon Dining emphasizes fresh, high-quality ingredients sourced from local and regional suppliers. Some herbs and vegetables are even grown right here on campus in collaboration with students!

Our dining spaces are designed to build community and promote mindful eating. Students are encouraged to make thoughtful choices about food and to develop healthy eating habits for life.

ALLERGEN AWARENESS

All meals are clearly labeled with allergens, and staff receive training to manage food safely. We work closely with families to support students with food sensitivities and dietary needs.

THE STREET CAFÉ

Located between the North and South buildings, The Street Café offers freshly brewed Segafredo coffee, tea, oven-baked breads, and pastries each morning.

It’s a popular gathering place for students, parents, and staff to enjoy refreshments and light foods with al fresco seating.

The Street Cafe is a fun and cozy corner of our campus community.

DAILY LUNCH & PRICING

Dragon Dining lunch sets are nutritionally balanced and tailored to different age groups.

We use a fast, accurate cashless service to take payments for meals in the cafeteria. Accounts may be topped up via credit card online or with cash using the kiosk located in the cafeteria.

The system makes payments as easy as possible, allowing parents to view and top-up the account online or by cash. You can also set a daily spending limit on your account as well as notify us about allergy restrictions and other important dietary requirements.

The cafeteria and The Street Café are both open before school for breakfast and serve healthy snacks at morning and afternoon recess. Lunch is divided into three sittings so students are given enough space and time to enjoy their tasty meal. Students may purchase lunch from Dragon Dining or bring their own lunch if they wish. If bringing food to school, please adhere to the school’s Peanut-safe Policy, as we do at Dragon Dining. In addition to full cafeteria service for students and staff, we offer fresh foods and take-out meals to the YIS community.

Each set includes a main meal, soup, vegetable side, salad, fruit or dessert, and a drink.
