Below are the key steps involved in applying for a position at YIS.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED MATERIALS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • FOR TEACHING POSITIONS

 

A recognized teaching qualification and at least three years of relevant, post-certification experience.

  • FOR ADMINISTRATIVE/SUPPORT POSITIONS

 

Relevant work experience in education or comparable sectors is highly valued.

Include names and contact details of at least three referees – one should be your current supervisor if possible. If you have fewer than six years in your current role, please also provide references from previous employers. If you are unable to provide the references from your current employer, please include the reason in the cover letter.

You may submit relevant certifications or portfolios that showcase your skills, but please note these are not mandatory unless specified in the job listing.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

INITIAL SCREENING

Our hiring team reviews applications based on alignment with the required qualifications and our school values. Only those whose applications meet these criteria will be contacted for further consideration.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to [placeholder: interview(s)/performance tasks/teaching demos] depending on the role. Some roles may require additional steps, such as case studies, sample lessons, or written exercises.

In line with our Safeguarding Recruiting Policy, references may be contacted at any stage, and successful candidates are required to undergo background checks. Contract offers are typically provisional pending satisfactory completion of these checks.

Selected candidates will receive a formal offer via email, detailing contract terms, benefits, and an onboarding timeline. Once accepted, our team will guide you through the visa application (if applicable) and provide support for a smooth transition to YIS.
